Midnight Express was made all the more poignant by the fact that the lead, Brad Davis went into became a heroin addict and committed suicide with a drug overdose.

Agreed but the book wasn't that good.

The book was brilliant as was Firestarter. The relationship between the girl and dad was beautiful but the film didn't capture it.

Just watched The Gentlemen is was a typical Guy Richtie film. Worth a watch but I would not say dont miss it. I thought the character of Raymond had tom hardy written all over it.I did like the Colin Farrell part.

Back to the Future, haven’t seen it in years. Crispin Glover did a great job as George McFly, the lonely geek getting dating tips from his future son. Reminded me what a excellent director Robert Zemeckis can be.

Generally that is always true. The only exception I can think of is 'The Green Mile' where the film is as good as the book. Can anyone think of any other films where the film is as good (Shawshank Redemption but wasn't that a novella?).

I prefer No Country For Old Men as a film.
