Okay so the Altered Carbon anime is a film not a series which sucks. Secondly I didn’t realise which animation style they’d go for... yuk. Only 5 mins in but not enjoying it.

The last film I watched was Noah, where the lord almighty wiped humanity from the face of the earth. And now people here moan about not going to the pub for a few weeks.

Had to turn it off for now. It’s got a weird Borderlands/XIII feel to it. What’s wrong with just some good old fashioned Seinen animation.

Heard some good things about Brazilian film Bacurau - anyone seen it? Will try to give it a watch on MUBI before long - they're currently doing 3 months for £1, which might help while away a bit of time over the coming weeks & months...

Finally watched Joker last night. Not really sure what think of it yet. I thought Phoenix performance was incredible but I'm not sure about the actual plot of the film, it was all over the place. Whether that was the point to show how [Poor language removed] up he was or it was just bad directing i'm not so sure.

Plot is very streamlined to me. Care to expand on 'all over the place'?

Universal studio movies at the cinema are now on demand services today, The Invisible Man and The Hunt being two, top quality available in the usual places.
