Contagion. Hadn't seen it before. Incredibly realistic first half considering the times! China...check. Bats...check. Social distancing etc all make an appearance. The second half we really don't want to see in real life.
It might've been a 7/10 had I seen it last year...but now that I appreciate how much effort went into making it realistic I have to give it a whopping 9/10. Only little bits of Hollywood logic here and there (the kidnapping), but otherwise keeps you on your toes.

Watched Kajaki last night , totally gripping, brutal , tense true story about the rescue a group of British soldiers trapped in an minefield in Afghanistan. 8/10

Watched the Seven Samurai on telly last night. Enjoyed it but I was a bit tired, it started late and is almost 3 and a half hours long.
That is a great film. One of the best I've seen in a long time.
I thought so too , I would have scored it 10/10 but had to put subtitles on as some of the Scots accents were hard to understand at times
My mate's son served in Afghanistan with the Air fleet arm .He has never ever spoken about his time over there , after watching this film I understand why ..... horrific !

I've noticed yesterday and today Contagion from 2011 is getting some serious downloads, people sat at home watching it scaring themselves to death...
Or they're looking for survival tips.

Watched the new one from Roman Polanski, An Officer and a Spy. Obviously, it has made headlines for all the wrong reasons, but I thought it was a well-made and gripping film of the infamous Dreyfus affair. Jean Dujardin. as always, is great value as the leading man.
