Last Film You Watched

Black Panther. Feel exacally the same as I did when I saw it the the first time at the cinema. It's just your typical Marvel movie, vaguely entertaining with nothing to really hate or love and completly forgettable with pretty much the same plot as the last twenty (there's one or two good films among them) plus films they've done.

Starship Troopers. I'd forgotten how good a film it is, and a lot of the issues it addresses are stil very relevant today, if not more so. Paul Verhoeven did some really good films around(ish) that time period. Robocop probably the best.

I don’t get the popularity of Marvel films. Sure, I can see the attraction of big-budget, mindless action popcorn flicks with cool-looking characters, but there are like 20 of these, they churn them out all the time and they’re pretty much the same film.

I prefer Dina Meyer when I watch it back now. But perhaps that's cos of the reasons you mentioned.

I watched The Prestige today, for the very first time. Not sure if I liked it or not. I've certainly been thinking about it all day though.

I think it's a great film to be fair. Did you get on to the twist before the end?

I knew that Fallon wasn't what he seemed but I thought it was to do with Tesla's machine (don't want to give spoilers in case anybody else is going to watch it). Great twist and well set up. Like the 6th Sense, once you know, you can go back and see how the dialogue tells you what's about to happen.

My only gripe was the sci-fi stuff, not sure it really fit with the rest of the film.

Glad they showed Edison to be the bell end he actually was
