Last Film You Watched

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi - I'm sceptical of these films in case they turn in to an American propaganda advert like American Sniper but I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Bright - Took it for what it was and it was a decent watch tbh

bit behind on my #100new films updates, so...

11) Logan Lucky (2017) - an enjoyable romp (as Paul Ross might comment). Belting cast and they clearly look they're having a whale of a time. Soderberg can do this heist caper thing in his sleep these days, but the backwater setting made for a different take.

12) Get Better (2017) - not very often you get to see a film directed by a mate, this is the first time I've had that privilege. Interesting documentary on 'folk singer' Frank Turner, really good for the fan - could perhaps be a little 'huh' for the outsider. Still well worth a watch and he really is one of the hardest working blokes in the industry.

13) The Wall (2017) - dramatic three man piece set in the Gulf War. Threw up some genuine peril for the protagonists and showcased Aaron Taylor-Johnson's fantastic acting chops yet again. He's been stand-out in some run of the mill stuff recently. Great ending.

14) Detroit (2017) - grim as all bollocks retelling of race riots in Detroit (oddly enough). Primarily British cast with a brutally excellent turn from Will Poulter. Nice to see the cream of young British acting talent getting these gigs in massive Hollywood movies (john Boyega, Jack Reynor & Gilly from Game of Thrones). Won't watch it again as it's uncomfortable viewing, but highly educational.

15) Baywatch (2017) - one gag, played adequately. Repeat until close. That's a couple of hours of my life lost. The worst film starring a wrestler I watched last week; by some margin.

I just could not even allow to watch one minute of this.
