Last Film You Watched

Just watched The Road, was OK

Right old barrel of laughs that one

Massive waste of a magnificent book. They bottled it when they made the film, as the content would've been too extreme for mainstream audiences.

I thought it was really good.
There's always a balance to be made between, showing the extreme reality and violence and not showing it, just for shock value?
They got the balance right, I thought anyway.

The Florida Project

Thought about turning it off after 20 minutes, but it turned out to be a good movie about society and social conflicts and struggles. Worth a watch.

The Shape of Water

I don't know, just wasn't for me.

Each to their own, but the unrelenting bleakness and savagery, is a big part of McCarthy`s writing style, hence why it`s been very hard to date, to turn his books into films. No Country for Old Men, being the exception so far.

Sudden interest in watching the most disturbing films I can find. Any recommendations?

Dead Mens Shoes.
The Shining.
Eraser Head.
Bad Lieutenant - Harvey Keitel Version.
Sinister.
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest ( for the sheer tragedy )
Romper Stomper.
Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer.
Man Bites Dog.
American History X
American Pyscho.

It`s quite subjective mate.
