He didnt seem like a "oh my christ he's gonna lose/hoof/get mauled by the winger" kinda defender. Looks dependable.

But I think its all down to the link up with the winger and his defensive capabilites which werent tested either way (Osman being poor and no one threatening him down the wing). But he did get in some good positions going forward and didnt lose the ball.

He needs a bit more time to adjust to the Prem and his team mates and systems but looks good, i really liked the way he was gutted and berated himself for an actually not to bad cross!

Clearly he has a whip stash!

Sucks that he's 29. I bet Lars and VDM are an unstoppable force on the right in the reserves.

Think Hibbert/Neville is better but maybe w/ a decent run of matches we could get something for him or if a promoted team offered 1-2M for hibbo we'd have enough depth w/ him to sell.

I think a lot of that was it just being his first team debut to be honest. He wasn't sure about his positioning at times. Full back is one of the hardest positions to just come in and fit in straight away in my opinion.

Funny I thougth his positioning was his strength. Likes to attack so I really liked that in him. At the moment he will have to get use to his team mates and gain a repore with them. The comfort factor is huge on a team.
