Landon Donovan

We already have two very strong personalities upfront. Yakubu has a tremendous goal scoring record and saha...well,we know what quality he has got(ferguson should wish he didn't let him go). Yak has been dissapointing apart from the sympathies we had for him earlier when he returned from the injury but he has got 30 odd minutes in every match from the bench and started occasionally and by his standards and the fact that he has been in the premier league for like 6 years he should adapt quickly. There's a reason moyes prefers jo over Yakubu. Right now that reason is just stamina i guess but i still know that the yak is better than Jo and bringing in Donovan may have a negetive effect on Yak as he'll go down the order then and i fear what happened with AJ may happen with him.So give the Yak a pat on the back, strikers always need that when they are of form, start with him upfront and im sure he'll be banging in the goals. That championship loan move was hypothetical and will never happen but that is another way to get him to his form

Oh and yobo is the nigerian captain and when he's out yak takes the arm band i think

Cant see that happening.

The Yak is our main striker - his age, his record, and the price we paid for him says that. Saha is just in the form of his life at the moment...but he's 31 so he hasnt got that long to go.

Jo is raw talent but not a goalscorer. Yak has had a horrible muscle/tendon injury that will take time. He hasnt played a full game since sometime back in August or something. Getting the full fit Yak back will take time.

We wont be getting rid of Yak or Saha, and we wont be buying Donovan...who will probably be played either on the wing or in the midfield IMO.

Also Yak will be gone to the African Nations....leaving injury prone Saha and a goal drought Jo...another striker will be needed.

I can't see moyes playing a 442 with all these strikers. Maybe he can loan out yakubu for a month so that he hopefully regains hs touch and lose the laziness(hypothetical point though)

Great idea. A month in the championship would do wonders for him, and us too.
muppet

speechless ere lid

It's all about player development and the future of the club, you're on the ball faddy.

Muppet indeed.

CHRIST ON A BIKE?!??!!?!?!?!!

What a complete and utter balloon.

Silly season is hear again.Sorry but this guy is not what we need and furthermore would not cut it in the EPL. Better players in the Championship.

it will be amazing if we sign Landon... there's already plenty of talk about him (and Everton) on the American sports talk shows (like Sportscenter)

Everton already gets some pub because of Tim Howard, this would easily double that here in the states

I really dont see how this makes sense - even if he turns out to be half ace, why waste a loan on a player who will play two and a half months and leave with two still left in the season. I know we're crippled with injuries and players hopefully will return by then - but if the injuries have thought us anything - its not to dick about with the depth of the squad, surely a six month loan deal for someone would make more sense.

Take Billy and Heitinga have been here for four months and you couldnt say they have fully adjusted to the PL yet.

Just cant see the sense in this one to be honest.
