Why are they going to be in opposition?

Come on pete, you're tribal but you're not daft. The Tories are a disgrace even to themeslves. There is no heart or will to carry this masquerade on. All we're waiting on here is for the media/LP right wing and other dubious social forces to knock "the rough edges" off Corbyn so he can be allowed power.

Sorry, I missed the first line. They will be in opposition, at best, because the U.K. doesn’t vote for the far left or right, history shows us this. I want a strong Labour Party, a credible party, but this isn’t where it’s going......

The Tories are in a diabolical state, at each other’s throats and failing on Brexit. Labour should be 30 points ahead and they are not. Corbyn is like DCL, we wish he was a world class striker, but he’s not. This whole debacle, which should never of happened, but then should have been immediately dealt with, has been a running sore and Corbyn has been caught like the proverbial rabbit in the headlights until today when he moved and got run over......
Well the LP aren't going to win a landslide. It'll be a small majority in all probability. Can you actually see the British people handing those plant pots who've screwed up Brexit another term in office?!

Please.

Meanwhile those that actually vote governments in have seen Corbyn buckle under media pressure to adopt something he didn’t want to do. They have seen the lack of decisive leadership and are now seeing him do anything for power. The swing voters, unlike the hardened party hacks are not mugs.......

Buckle under media pressure, lack of decisive leadership....

Sorry, which party leader were you referring to again?

Just Google May u turn and take your pick.

Unfortunately I’ve seen which way the wind is blowing for more years than I care to remember, and I think @roydo has too, and it won’t end as you hope......

Thee's no future for a Tory Party that bollock's up Brexit.

I suspect you know it.

I have no idea why you'd wish for these zombies to carry on. I know politics can be tribal but sometimes you just have to have self reflection and acknowledge that these grotesque characters are killing the nation and need to step aside.

TBH, I think they're as sick of themselves as the rest of the country are of them.

Put the zombies out of their misery.

Oh pete, you must see the tsunami heading the Tory's way?

They are there for the taking. They are rudderless and a zombie government just waiting to have their brains bashed out.

It's over for that lot. The fact you dont see it is alarming.

The one thing the Tories can do is stop fighting and get a grip when they need to. Corbyn has to convince the electorate that not only is he competent (and this fiasco says no) but that he has the political and intellectual skills to steer a country in this wild world. I’ve said before that Wilson was the best Labour have had in half a century, Corbyn is just a fool and appears that way to those who are not his supporters........

Corbyn "far left".

I wish.

I have no wish for either of these parties to govern our country, however the useless Tories are just not quite as bad as Corbyn’s Labour.......

It really wont matter what the Tories do regarding galvanising themselves (HIGHLY UNLIKELY though that is).

The fury of the brexiteer voters will sweep them out. That's their social base....and they 'kin ballsed it up for them.

At the moment no I can’t. But the vote won’t be tomorrow and they will move and position themselves to where they need to be, and blame Barnier and Juncker. Corbyn, if he’s still leader, will be defending himself from whatever expose the media are saving for him......

But if the alternative is still Corbyn they will bite their lip and vote blue......

well, I beg to differ and we can agree to disagree?

Here you go, tomorrow’s papers....I know, I know who it is, but this is what people will be reading.....

“Labour was slammed for a new attempt to dilute the international definition of anti-Semitism today after it finally adopted the text in full but with a 'free speech' get out clause.

Dame Margaret Hodge led criticism of the party for taking 'two steps forward, one step back' by adding the rider to the full International Holocaust Remberance Alliance (IHRA) text.

The statement spells out that Labour will not kick out anyone who criticises Israel without being anti-Semitic - something critics say is already clear in the IHRA text.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was branded 'contemptible' for bringing a second personal statement to the meeting on anti-Semitism and Palestinian rights. He wanted to issue it alongside the IHRA but it was opposed during the committee meeting.

Mr Corbyn's document said it should not 'be regarded as anti-Semitic to describe Israel, its policies or the circumstances around its foundation as racist'.

Labour sources said there was a difference between attacking the country of Israel that exists and any Jewish state as a theoretical concept. The IHRA makes the same distinction but it is poorly understood by non-experts.

But the Labour Friends of Israel group said the leaked document, which was not moved to a vote at Labour's ruling committee, showed Mr Corbyn was 'part of the problem not part of the solution'.”.......

Maybe not. But wringing their collective hands, blaming the press, Blairites, Fox, Murdoch, whatever, may well make them feel better.

But the point is simple. To get elected, he has to appeal to swathes of voters who dont care or dont even know all that. Replace a popular local MP with one who is a paid up member of Momentum might well get the support of his supporters, but will it get him elected?

Its the same song sung every 25 years or so.

Paraphraed to 'to get elected he has to play on the establishment's terms'.
The support for a fairer crack of the whip is to not play that way. By making the lengthy and ongoing attacks on Corbyn, as an individual, and not the ideals, those on the right of politics have been totally disingenuous to the public, and I would guess the majority are fed up for one reason or another.
Would it make a difference if it was someone different? It is the policies that people support, as with all campaigns, Corbyn is a figurehead.
The labour party is a series of democratic processes, not one person.
Oppoonents such attack policies. But when your starting point is austerity it's the last thing you would want to do.
Voters are still on the whole party particular, ask Frank Fields.
