Akin to the so called "Trotskyst" clear out under Kinnock, no doubt.

Sick of it.

Sick of all of it.

Difference this time around is that the Left have their hands on the levers of the party machinery. I suggest they start pulling a few and drop these Blairite neo-liberals down the toilet where faeces belongs.

...and so it begins.

That ^^^ is what will happen now: no rest for those involved in Operation Get Rid of Corbyn in the LP right wing and for their their Zionist henchmen.

It is Dave, but the point is that rather than having an issue which was based in some form of reality they now have to find other things (or pretend that this isnt solved).

Won't change anything. The attacks in recent weeks have moved from the party to Corbyn himself. Margaret Hodge on Sunday as good as said the goal is to defenstrate Corbyn.

And several on here have said they want to do the exact same to Neo Liberal Blairites.

At the same time the Tories are at each others throats.

Casual political observers just see casual double standards all over the shop I am afraid.

There is a big difference, though.

During the Blair years, the left voted with its conscience at times but even the arch-rebel Corbyn at his very rebellious backed Blair 75% of the time. They stayed in the party, honestly represented their constituents and got on. They weren't the ones briefing against Blair in the Press, or plotting his removal.

However since Corbyn was elected overwhelmingly (twice) they've been both relentlessly hostile and have consistently worked with almost anyone to remove him, even though almost all their criticisms of him have been proved wrong. At some point they either need to accept they've lost or be removed, and there is no suggestion they have accepted that they have lost.

My only solace in this is that overnight the left has been strengthened and now must go after these neo-liberals and deselect their MPs and cleanse the LP of their entryism.

One member one vote (OMOV) at the conference , this is what its about, whats gone on is just tool to attack Corbyn, they cant hide now, timing is good actually, they will just sound self serving and aloof to their local party with up and coming OMOV if they continue it now. And besides the IHRA defintion of Antisemitism is a working definition... And this is when you do sort your dirty linen, when in oppostion and in fixed term, although election may come after March any time, lots of water under the bridge until we get there.

For ever?

I seriously dont get it mate. Purging the party of folk who dont agree with him just looks idiotic to many folk, other than his supporters.

Does to me anyrate.

Not for ever, no. They could try and behave in a comradely fashion towards the current leader.

Also for all their chat, it should be pointed out that none of them have been purged and that deselection would not kick them out of the party - they'd just lose their safe seat in Parliament.

Thats fair enough I guess.

But in a GE, swingers (sic) like me need convincing to support him, not his acolytes.

I suspect the wave of support for Corbyn in the NEC/NPF elections, and recent moves toward reselection, would not have been quite so emphatic had it not been for the pointlessness and malice of the anti-Corbynites' second attempt in 2016.

What's happening now isn't taking place in a vacuum... and it wasn't the Corbyn supporters who first provoked the rupture
