Current Affairs Labour and Anti Semitism.......

This is an extreme view, and unfortunately, this makes you part of the problem. Jeremy Corbyn, Lansman, Momentum, Owen Jones etc etc. all acknowledge the anti-semitism in Labour. Even Willsman said in his apology that anti-semitism exists in Labour... although I imagine you think he was coerced to say that by the Zionist lobby! How can you honestly say there is no anti-semitism in Labour?

I do love the confidence you have from one poll that puts Labour ahead today by 1 pt (in a week where Conservatives have been rightfully criticised for Islamaphobia in the party, and in a time where the Conservatives are making a dreadful time of Brexit). I imagine if Labour were behind in today's poll; no doubt you would be giving it the bigguns of how polls are an establishment ploy and will be proved wrong at the next election just like in 2017.
Two polls actually...and neither of them - or any other poll or a real election contest - will be influenced by the "anti-semitism" issue.

It's an irrelevancy.

Funny that - a ComRes poll of c2000 people at the end of July (you probably wont like it as it was done for Jewish News) stated that:

- One in three adults (34%) agree, and fewer than one in four (23%) disagree, that ‘the Labour Party has a serious antisemitism problem’; this is a higher proportion than the 28% in 2017 who agreed that ‘the Labour Party has a particular problem with antisemitism’.
- Half of all adults overall (48%), and almost one in three Labour voters (29%), agree that Jeremy Corbyn ‘is letting the Labour Party down by failing to tackle antisemitism within some parts of the Party.
- Overall fewer than one in five – just 18% - think Jeremy Corbyn appears to be handling the Party’s antisemitism problem ‘well’.

I am intrigued to see. My view? It could stop Corbyn getting a majority.

Fake news.

In and of itself, yes.

But most voters respond less to specific issues than to the cues that they provide.

Few will recall the details of this latest episode on election day, but they will nonetheless be informed by the perceptions it reinforces: that Corbyn is radical and untrustworthy, especially on matters relating to national security.

In much the same way, voters - even Leavers - are finally beginning to catch wind that Brexit is going to be a disaster, even if they still don't really understand the Irish Border, or the Single Market or Customs Union, let alone what was at stake at Chequers and why it failed.

It is useless for Labour to win London or Liverpool constituencies by 85% next time instead of only 75% - to actually take power, they need to flip seats, and most of the ones most up for grabs are in hardscrabble post-industrial towns in the North and the Midlands - Mansfield, Stoke, Middlesborough etc.

And it's in places like these where Corbyn polls particularly unfavourably, not least because of his reputation for being soft on things like security.

Lol, I've known Dave for yonks and I've seen nothing to believe he's anti-Semitic.

Within the moderate Jewish community, JN are seen as fairly hardline so I understand his skepticism.

Do you understand how polling works? ComRes are part of the British Polling Council and performed the poll; Jewish News published it. You think ComRes would undermine their whole firm over this issue? That is like an accountant fudging the numbers on an audit!

I mean, on this page alone, he has refuted that there is any anti-semitism in Labour whatsoever - reducing it to a smear and that the perspectives of mainstream British Jews are an "irrelevancy" to Corbyn's project.

I thought Labour was the party of anti-racism; yet he doesn't seem to believe in the most historic racism there is, a racism that was responsible for the grimmest of atrocities just 70 years ago. I dont believe I am far off when I say he doesn't like Jews very much. Seems good old Labour values are lost on people on their quest to overthrow the establishment and uproot domestic and foreign policy.

First of all, I'm Jewish.

Second of all, Jeremy Corbyn has many faults, but being a racist isn't one of them. I'll never forget how his speech at the Battle of Cable Street centenary brought tears from my late grandmother.

Anti-Semitism is a cancer, and I'm happy that Labour have adopted the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism, whilst also ensuring that people are free to debate the actions of the Israeli state.

To counter this; I don't think there are any Jewish newspapers (of which there are three) in weekly circulation that are not taking the same line on Corbyn's Labour currently. Happy to be enlightened.

I don't believe I said Corbyn is racist anywhere? For the record I do not think he is... but he has played a significant part in fostering an environment that allows anti-semitism to flourish.
