Given the fact that we're a party comprised of > 600,000 members, it's going to be a given that one or two cranks get involved. I've been a member since Blair, and the cranks to ordinary people ratio them days ways significantly higher than it is today.
Anti-Semitism is a cancer, and I welcome the NEC's to accept the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism.
What is empowering these "one or two cranks" to get involved in the upper echelons of the Labour party though (MPs, prospective candidates, counsellors, NEC etc) though? I kinda understand the argument for bad eggs in a pool of that size at the lower levels, but these people are moving up Labour ranks - this is when their cancerous views become widespread.
