Yes, wasn't it Blackwell who compared him to Aaron Lennon and James Milner
Isn't that more to do with the fact he had those players at Leeds and they stepped up to the Prem rather than their position?

Doh. I's kinda dumb sometimes.Isn't that more to do with the fact he had those players at Leeds and they stepped up to the Prem rather than their position?
I can see it now, he drives thru the gates of Finch Farm and he sees Jags, The Yak, Victor and Mikel all on crutches. Then he hears Phil Nevilles girly like scream from across the pitch.
Jumps back in his car and enters White Hart Lane on his Sat Nav................
He better sign today, I swear!

SHEFFIELD United have already started searching for Kyle Naughton's replacement after Tottenham Hotspur joined the race for the England under-21 international.
As The Star reported on Saturday, news that Everton's £6 million offer had been accepted prompted a response from the London club who contacted Bramall Lane to match the Merseysider's bid.
The scramble to secure a player Kevin Blackwell believes
is "the best right-back in the Championship" could reach new levels later this week if, as expected, Aston Villa also enter the fray.
But while the United manager made no attempt to disguise his disappointment after learning the decision had been made to sell during the closing stages of last week's pre-season tour of Malta, he struck a defiant note.
"We're a good club and we can attract good talent," Blackwell told The Star. "People want to come here.
"I know that because I had to recharge my phone twice in one afternoon when everyone realised what had happened. All the calls were people trying to recommend someone."
Blackwell will hold talks with chairman Kevin McCabe to discover how any fee might be re-invested, but he refused to rule out the possibility that, long term, the answer might lie behind the walls of the youth academy responsible for nurturing Naughton's talents.
"What we've also got to do now is unearth the next Kyle Naughton," he added.
Agents for the 20-year-old will meet with officials from Goodison Park and White Hart Lane later today.
With Paddy Kenny's positive drug test threatening to complicate his recruitment plans, Blackwell could be tempted to ask whoever secures Naughton to loan a player in return.
Radio Sheffiled saying we have been ****ed off and there not allowing us to speak to him now. Someone else made a bigger bid??

I'm pretty sure that in the world of contract law, once someone accepts an offer from some one (and so publicly like shefield utd) you cant then back track and reject the ofer after you have already accepted it. Blackwell said- it will go through if he agrees a deal with Everton. Sheffield Utd and Everton have a contract, its simple offer and acceptance.

I think it will be a verbal agreement. I doubt Everton have any rights other than those which Sheffield United give them, which apparently they've just withdrawn.
we made an offer and they have accepted it publicly. Nothing has to be in writing in the world of contract law, it just helps for proof. But if you want proof you just go on their official website.

Sheffield United can confirm that the club have agreed a deal with Everton for the transfer of Kyle Naughton.
But the deal is still subject to the player's agreement.
I'm pretty sure the ball will be out of Sheff utd court
