Just seen this on BBC 606

Bad News folkes, i was out referring today and i went up for my breakfast early in the morning, and guess who i see at Castrol Sports Club, Gary Speed

Me and a fellow ref go and speak to Speed and he was with five other fellas and we have a cup of tea and speak football, i say to Spped im made up about Naughton, and he responds dont count your chickens, Spurs have offered 10 mill for Him and Kyle Walker, however Speed says he told Naughton to join Everton his words where that Everton where a special club and a family club and as much as the Everton fans dislike him he says he loves the club and the fans are exceptional and also that one of his best clubs of his carreer

Thhen he says, he told Naughton he would benfit more by playing for Everton, i aslo asked if hes better than Hibbert and he says yes

If you dont believe this dont, but check the Sheffield United squad for the tour of Malta and he is not there, he was at Castrol Sports club with friends watching the Tournemnt today

Probably bull, and wouldn't really affect our chances of signing him to much, but its a rumour, hey.

Only signing I care about to be honest, its time to give Hibbert some real competition.(Especially coming from a teenager )

that and getting a boss right winger would be all I ask for Santa.

I think there's a good chance that this guy will be played at right wing with Neville being moved to right-back.

I usually sit down and have a brew with ex-everton players too....especially ones that are still working/playing for a club. Makes life worth living.

What a load a [Poor language removed].

I was saying just the same thing to Ibrahima Bakayoko yesterday.

Seen this lad play when I went with my mate to see Wolves play Sheff Utd. He looks a talent and would be a regular starter for us. Under Moyes he could become class.

He should be chosing Everton over Spurs and Villa anyway, look who came through last year, Rodwell, Gosling, all playing part in major games
