Koeman

Whatever one things of Moyes/Martinez they sort of suited the club in many ways and had both geeked out a certain niche. Lots of problems with both, but it's forgotten even Martinez's final season we got to 2 semi finals (and were extra time away from winning the cup that season as we'd have defeated Palace).

Neither manager were backed with any funds close to the teams above them.

The model wasn't perfect. It wasn't the Everton of our forefathers, or of being the dominant team, but it was working quite well. We ripped it up and undid all the positives that were there in the process.

Silva and Brands are slowly trying to pitch it all back together again.
Exactly. The model was in place and working well enough. Koeman was the big switch = and he squandered the cash from selling our family silver on slow and / or limited players.

Without a moment's hesitation I have him down as the worst manager in our modern history - the cash spent clinches it.

Compete with them for a Champions League place. Competing with the ‘Big Six’ for something we’ve achieved once in 27 years.

I’ve no argument against the fact that overall he was a massive flop - but his point about Everton and the expectation is dead on.

Was a top 4 where we finished between 5th and 8th and once in the top 4 over 10 years without spending anything. We used to finish higher than spurs.

The moment we spent money to compete...we or in fact he spunked it up the wall.

The feller didn't understand. Didn't care. Set the club back 2-3 years. His signings had zero eye for the future. None. That's where he was at.

His "It's a top 6" didn't stop spurs becoming one, they brought the right manager in and haven't spent anywhere near the rest. Arsenal are a spent force. All of them let Leicester win the league.

It only becomes an "impossible" task if you let it and aren't good enough as a manager.

Sold Lukaku, Stones, Deulofeu for Rooney, Williams, and Bolasie.

Put him to be bed.

“Every Monday and Tuesday I am here to do interviews, planning or analysing our opponents and the rest of the week I travel to see players and games. Once a week I can play golf!"

Once a week? Really Ron?

It was a top six by the time he arrived. Nobody has said it’s impossible (Spurs & Leicester have achieved it as you mentioned) but it is tough and should not be expected.

The premiership is tough. But less tough when you have a £200+million budget.

If he came out and said what his plan was and that his recruitment strategy was horrendous, I'd rate him more. But he hasn't and does what he always does...blame everything else but himself.

Please you tell us how he cared for Everton, please Corky explain for once (as you never actually ever explain your posts) in your own words the utter drivel you spout.

Changed the a lot in the training ground - facilities, murals of past achievements as encouragements, implemented that the youth team play the same as the seniors. Respected the history....

Maybe not "cared" but took better care.

Koeman couldn't be arsed apart from playing golf.
