Koeman out would mean this season is wasted and all the money is wasted - the new manager would not use the same players , would likely not ‘fancy’ some of the younger ones for no particular reason and we risk careers of people like Davies and DCL and Kenny - be very careful what you wish for - it’s easier for the management to push Koeman towards a certain approach rather than sacking him
That is football... managers get sacked when they don't perform... I would give him more time but you can't keep a manager who is consistently getting rubbish results just because he has been backed financially and the thoughts that a new manager might not fancy a couple of the young players

good point, sarath...i forgot there was a massive points difference between 7th & 8th, just remember someone here working out Rom's goals won us 12 points in total.

So we're still on for the 7th-placed trophy, only we'll get it with 50 points rather than 61...happy days :hayee:

Thats our last 11 league games dating back till mid April last season

In those 11 games I remember 2 decent halves of football - first half until the sending off against City, and second half last 30 minutes against Bournemouth after Niasse and Davies came on

we scored in only 4 of the 11 games - a total of 5 goals over the 11 games, we conceded in 8 of the 11 games and a total of 18 goals

Played 11 won 3 drew 2 lost 6, (11 points) scored 4 conceded 18

Stretched over the end of last and start of this it is basically close to relegation form, we also have only gotten a result in one game the opponent scored first in - last time out at Bournemouth

It's not that simple though is it mate?

Having Lukaku as a focal point gave us so much more than what we currently have. Lukaku could be a passenger in a game but he's dangerous and an ever present outlet.

Not for me

Although I'd take Martinez back

I agree mate.... I thought I was making the same point.... that we shouldn't be afraid to sack him if his poor form continues, just that I would give him a bit more time, although I don't think he will turn it around

We won't act until the seasons done basically, wait till January, we'd already be out of EL and the league cup and be well adrift of doing anything in the league, MUCH less attractive proposition to bring in a manager in a season which is already dead, lose against Burnley I'd get shut - new manager has the international break to work with some and then build from there
