KIRKBY MOVE REJECTED

Location and design, was more what I was thinking.

Location: Half the stadium wasn't directly accessible.
Design: When more realistic, detailed ones would have come to light, as they did with Kirkby, you can bet it wouldn't have looked as appealing.

Take some comfort in that. (y)

I am sensing a higher level of cynicism in your postings these days Daniel.

just looking at a stadium here, which is at the university of south carolina, on the virtual tour it has a thing with seat prices, except it says 'seat donation'. is this just an american term or is this something cos they are a college team, i take it the price is per game ? or is it a season ticket ?
University of South Carolina Athletics

it's the home of 'The Gamecocks'

obviously it would be no good for us due to no roof.

its the city of manchester with the reeboks roof supports

Thought this.

And FFS what's the point of even suggesting ideas if people are just going to dismiss them straight out of hand.

Does anyone know anything about this FFS?

We gave Kirkby enough time to try and be something it wasn't. Are we not allowed to try and explore the ideas of possible alternatives.

Although agreed that does look a bit crass. I may have over-reacted a bit:unsure:

Expect a large media push for a shared multi-purpose stadium and expect it rather quickly so LCC can use the economy as the overriding factor. I can see a proposal coming down from LCC that makes it almost too good to resist for either board.

LCC know their chance of getting a majority vote from both sets of supporters would be an uphill battle so it's easier to make the deal too sweet for either board to say no and once both boards are pushing for it in the press, it's game over. I can see it being tied into some sort of Stanley Park regeneration scheme...it's all about manufacturing consent.

I could be wrong, though.

shoite cant afford it.

they can dress it up how they like i.e. we are at an advanced stage with our stadium, they cant get their hands on any money, so they cant afford it, they just wont say so.
