KIRKBY MOVE REJECTED

I think this is going to be the Trevor Skempton/Tom Hughes inspired proposal they (KEIOC) will put to the club and city council in the coming days.

Ok, on funding, I believe their sums revolve around the latest tranche of European money that has yet to be used + regional development agency cash + naming rights + sale of Bellefield + 'Equity Seat Rights' scheme: Stadium Capital Financing Group | Equity Seat Rights | Services For Teams Anything from all or a few thousand seats could be sold to supporters with the money upfront ready to commit - the club doesn't saddle itself with more debt......although how that works when we still have the securitisation deal presumably in place on season ticket sales I dont know - presumably this part is thought through.

This also on ESR: http://www.seatrights.com/press/faq.html

An equity scheme? 50,000 seats x that by say £1000 - that's £50m and the stadium is owned by the fans? Would we still need to buy a season ticket?

Tthey should have drawn on a roller coaster instead of the hotel (is that what it is?, or is that a case housing the oil we found under Goodison to pay for it?)

Maybe these CAD images take the look off a 'vision'?

Anyway, the thing is, we're stumbling out of the rubble that was Destination Kirkby and blinking our eyes against the light in terms of what is and isn't possible. It'll be intersting to see what the first substantiakl move is. I think we can take it for granted though that it'll revolve around GP redevelopment as that's the noise from LCC at the minute.
