KIRKBY MOVE REJECTED

So the CEO makes all the decisions? Surely thats the job of the board? Surely if they had a problem with his soundbites they would have made him correct them?

The fact is everything that Wyness said and done was on the boards say so. To even try and shift any blame towards him is a joke.

The CEO is employed to advise the club on the direction they take. He's not there to just make the tea.

The CEO surely just manages the business on a day to day level. Deals with most aspects within the Club, but wont have any real say with regards to REALLY big things, such as moving the Club 4 miles down the road.

Hmm, well I wouldn't be so sure about that. He did seem to say things that Kenwright didn't.

Like the no Plan B comment, to which Kenwright later attributed to redeveloping Goodison/staying at Goodison.

Or rather he said things he shouldnt, for example,

"We have put all our eggs in this Kirkby basket, when it goes tits up, we are screwed cos we aint got nothing else and cant even plan anything else cos we signed a contract binding us to this complete farce for the next 2-3 years"

Maybe, but then he is responsible for misinforming the public. I don't think that he is completely free from any blame.

as CEO, wouldn't it be his job to broker the "deal of the century" ? or at least come up with the idea for such a deal/collaboration.

i cant see him just being the mouthpiece, not on the kind of salary he'd be on, ffs i'll do it in the syle of a town crier with a hilarious speech malfunction and trademark gimmick for that much.

Im not saying he was just a mouthpiece and he always struck me as a slimy little scumbag, he probably set the whole thing up, with a little back hander here and there, but the final decision would have rested with the majority shareholders. Who then placed it in the hands of a few fans.

they did, but as he was CEO they would take his advice, otherwise he would get a titty lip and claim he had an untenable working relationship, it's not just a made up job title to give an employee a sense of self importance, it's a real job that involves making executive decisions and sending the ross's of this world down to sayers for the chilli pasties

yes folks they are back on

i repeat, they are back on

Wyness is just coming out as a scapegoat, at the end of the day no matter what he advised it would have to have the Boards approval before going public.

The final decision was the major shareholders sure, but they pay people to advise them, like Wyness. They are not going to pay someone a fortune to just ignore them.

Why did he leave so soon after the real Kirkby stadium started to filter through?

it was at the same time that sayers removed the chilli pastie from their range.
