KIRKBY MOVE REJECTED

Foever Everton ! We have avoided a massive blunder by betraying our unique roots and history . Rejoice ! Lets give em hell on sunday !

It would have been the biggest Derby defeat of all time had that stadium plan come off. Even before Sunday we've won already. (y)

for the record, I never wanted to go to Kirkby, I just want a better stadium.

I just hope we have a "Plan B" of is that C? D? OR E? I have seen the one for Walton Hall park with Saisburys, looks good to me.

From Moyesie (SSN):~

"It is disappointing for the club but I don't think I'd have bought Everton when they were in the situation of 'will they get Kirkby, won't they get Kirkby?'.

"One way or another we needed this decision as it has been hanging over us for a couple of years.

"If there are any buyers out there - and Bill Kenwright has said if there is anyone he would be willing to speak to them and do business - this may well force them out of the woodwork.

"I also think Liverpool council have said to us many times there are sites for us in the city so I'm looking forward to hearing what they can come up with.

"But I love Goodison and if I thought it could be fixed and put in the condition we want that would give me the biggest thrill".

I dont understand why it's nit picking. He's a hard faced bugger letting a statement out through his mates at the Echo pointing the finger at Wyness. Who employed Wyness? Who sanctioned him to pursue Kirkby without a Plan B? Bill Kenwright on both counts. A bit of humility and soul searching wouldn't go amiss. But even now, bankrupt of funds and bereft of ideas for progress other than 'we'll muddle along at Goodison until the right investor turns up', he's still clinging on to some vision of a future with him in it.

He's got zero credibility left. There has to be a new facility or a reconfiguration of Goodison. Who in their right minds outside the club are going into something like that with him still hanging round like a bad smell? All he has to do now is say five words: my shares are for sale.

Any comment Bill Kenwright makes, you dissect and manipulate.

Thats what I mean by nit picking David - sometimes it may be an idea to take comments at face value, rather than look for anything that can be manipulated to fit a certain agenda.

Although there is no direct mention that Wyness was the main instigator, I do find it wierd his name is brought up and question what is the purpose of doing so.

Well he was the voice, the frontman, the one who said it was 'Deal of the Century', and the one who basically said that Goodison was not a viable option at all.

So the CEO makes all the decisions? Surely thats the job of the board? Surely if they had a problem with his soundbites they would have made him correct them?

The fact is everything that Wyness said and done was on the boards say so. To even try and shift any blame towards him is a joke.
