He's been terrible for like 98% of the last two matches. He's had a real Gylfi Sigurdsson of a season. The production in the final third is there often enough that he's going to keep playing, but for large stretches of matches he's not producing any threat.

Yes, in an attacking sense he disappears from games too much. Over the last three games he has two shots and four passes leading to a shot (one of which is fake because the ball definitely went out of play on the one where Beto hit the crossbar). I don’t really care how much he runs. I didn’t care how much Doucoure ran either.

The impact someone like Fernandes or Rogers has in a similar role is light years away. We’re a bottom quarter of the league attacking side and while that’s mostly Moyes fault the player most responsible is the center piece of the attack who plays every week.

I was speaking to a fella a couple of years ago who done some work in Ashley Williams’ house.

The fella was Northern Irish, so they naturally got talking about Rodgers.

Apparently Williams credits him massively for the for his career, but regards him as an absolute head the ball.
