Mirallas is decent but it's always puzzled me that the level of scrutiny he gets is far less than the likes of Barkley and Lukaku.

Glad he's extended his stay but 4 years sounds a lot.

Given that virtually all our other attacking options may leave - Deulofeu, Lennon, Valencia, Kone, Barkley, Lukaku, it makes perfect sense to secure Kev as a squad player going forward. It'd be mental to let him leave too right now.

I have never been his biggest fan but as a squad man he is perfect so I am happy for him to be staying.

He hasn't had the best season but he has consistently put the effort in.

I wouldn't have given him this contract. He's been here long enough for me to know what he offers and that 1 game in 10 isn't enough IMO

He hasn't even been what you'd call a proper regular this season

Still, we'll need depth next season if we progress as hoped. Underwhelmed though, he would have been on my list to get shut of to be honest

The oddest thing is that he was already tied down for 2 years and no club has even hinted at showing an interest in him, I have no idea why this extension was necessary.

Anything else this summer is a bonus now.

Maybe as was the case with GIBSON if we sell Kev next summer then we will get a bigger fee if he has 3/4 yrs left on his contract.
Plus there will be no sulking if he is only a squad member next season.
Moshiri doesn't waste money too easily.
