...my only fear with Mirallas is that some players form peak when they are looking for a new contract then dip immediately afterwards. I don't know the lad so might be incorrectly setting the hares running, but his professionalism has been questioned before. There's no doubt he's a good footballer;
I don't know why people are wetting the bed over this. We're hardly going to go out and buy 20 top players in one window. To build a squad that can challenge on all fronts in the coming seasons, we need people like Baines, Jags and Mirallas to fill in on occasion. It's not going to happen overnight. I'd be diappointed however, if players aren't brought in to challenge their positions in the next 12 months.
With the Europa League next season, the need for squad depth is important and KM will help in terms of both numbers and experience.
Four years is a bit of a surprise, just hope he can return the favour with the best four years of his career
Mirallas hasn't done it for a while now, Obviously hasn't impressed the manager or he would of started more games,
Bet he can't believe his luck.
Oh to be a sulky, turn up when you want to, professional footballer.
Any chance it's a way of appeasing Rom in the hope he signs his contract? Also, Gibson signed one in June/July and was gone in Jan so might be a short term outlook from EFC until we can get the right people in.
Rather he sign a new deal and stay as depth for the squad than him walk for free and then have to spend money replacing him to add depth to the squad. We will be buying new first team players and he will be cover so not sure what the issue is.
