Can't understand people slating him for keeping his options open.

For someone objective, without ties to Everton:

3rd > 7th
CL > N/A
Emirates > Goodison
London > Liverpool
Wenger > Moyes

I could go on but I'm getting a bit depressed myself now.

I reckon the below mate.

we are down several bodies on an already weak squad just since the season finished.

Pienaar - loan ended - 14 games We'll have him for the full season this year so that puts up +28
Cahill - sold - 42 games And three goals? He was counter productive to our play and system for a lot of it. Naismith could deputise and provide these goals with some luck.
Rodwell - sold - 17 games Barkley and Junior should step up to the plate, Rodwell's effect on the first team was negligible.
Straq - loan ended - 27 games Jelavic should be settled so he wouldn't have got a look it. Anichebe should assist in offsetting this.
Donovan - loan ended - 9 games No reason why he won't be back on loan this season so no loss. He may stay longer.
Drenthe - loan ended - 27games Aye we'll miss him and his important goals. Maybe this Belgian or alternative will replace him.
McFadden - binned - 8 games We won't miss him.
Baxter - 2 games We won't miss him.

Naismith - in
Pienaar - in

I've not counter the January perm signings, nor the players sold during season (ie Jelavic and Gibson in, Bily, Saha, Arteta, out)

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/3...ransfer-news-van-persie-mirallas-everton.htm?

"Mirallas has admitted, however, he would prefer to move to the Emirates but given that there has been no agreement reached between the concerned parties he seems resigned to moving to Everton instead"

"Meanwhile, Mirallas admitted the presence of national team mate Marouane Fellaini at Goodison Park could help him accept Everton and then settle into his new surroundings, if he does move there."

WTF? awful, awful article.
