It's going to be hard to find someone to take him off our hands, so maybe he's sat down with Silva and Silva's said "I'll give you some minutes as a back up this season so you can put yourself in the shop window so you can find a club when your deal runs out?" and Kev has agreed, hence the seeming improvement in his application and effort?

...I think the pure economics are that Silva/Brands will want him out, even if it’s a loan deal (similar to Ashley Williams) where at least part of his salary is paid. As I said, I’m wary of players who suddenly appear to be top professionals and clubmen, when what has gone before has been largely to the contrary.

Sadly as well, as I loved Kev in his first 2 seasons. Quick, skillfull, good finisher, a bit of snide and turned up in big games. Just got too big for his boots.

I’d have him as 4th choice winger as well mate. Hated on here because he took that pen once. Barkley did exactly same and nobody said anything..

Nope. Barkleys pen was in the exact circumstances you say it wasn’t. We were 0-0 at home to hard to break down Burnley. He missed.

We went on to win 1-0. Mirallas scored..

Remember being desperate for him, to be fit in a derby, i actually think he came on and had a stormer then got injured again and was out for beards.

Hard to believe he was one of our best players at a point, that was under Davey.

Never did much with the talent he had if im being honest, unfulfilled potential thats progressed to essentially being given away for nothing. 32 in October.

I agree, and Baines should have had be grit to pull rank on him also. Just meant in terms of ego and especially perceived ego and attitude from the fan base.

He was my fave player for ages.

But almost everything after the penalty ‘incident’ has driven me insane.
