Kevin Mirallas Can Be Everton’s Key Man Under Roberto Martinez

I would hope that Miralles might be used behind the front man in the same way that Bale is for Tottenham. Sometimes we seem to lack that dynamism through the middle and that long diagonal ball to Fellaini started to look like an Unsworth pass to Dunc.

I think Martinez is going to get another winger, someone like Sinclair or McMananaman but I hope its Moses, then I think we could see a really exciting midfield three behind the two holding.

Moses Miralles Piennar interchanging would offer all sorts of problems as perhaps Miralles as a false number 9 in a 4-3-3 formation.

For example,
Barkley Fellaini Gibson

Piennar Miralles other winger

..there's an Everton article in this morning's Racing Post under the headline, 'Layers right to expect fall in standard after Moyes Exit'. It goes on to say punters can expect Everton to decline but still be a top half side. Interestingly they predict Jelovic might be the 'one to watch' following his disappointing last season but they actually focus on Mirallas. They say in the 23 games he started the Blues picked up 42 points at an average of 1.83 whilst output fell to 1.40 when he's not in the side.
The stats are fine and dandy but I simply think the boy is a little bit good.

The more I think about it, the more I think we might actually be quite good next season. I know it was a special occasion, but we played West Ham off the park in our last home game.

If Mirallas stays relatively fit and healthy all year I want 15 league goals from him.

Not so sure. Its not Mirallas not a good candidate for a false nine, but rather the lack of someone in front of him stretching space (and thus the whole point of a false nine). An advanced utility player like Pienaar just won't fit.

Considering Jelavic's severe case of "second season syndrome", I'm surprised there aren't many people worried it will happen to Mirallas.

I'd let the lid do what he wants. I've waited years to see an Everton player with that genuine, unpredictable spark of genius.

I'd be perfectly happy to never, ever see him track back again providing he was bumming defences with his sexy little rabonas and ludicrous pace.

oh I love you Kev Mirallas as much as mr Ijjet or eejit smith or whatevers he's called you know the good lookin one with the overweight wacko jacko pic
