Well, to be serious for a mo, I'm not sure he's class. But I reckon he'd do OK for us and is about all we can dream of affording so maybe it'll happen ?
i cant understand why we need another striker to fit in with straq, vellios, saha, anichebe, mcfadden, what we need is a decent midfield that is attacking minded and not defensive,or moyes has an attack of non defensive tactics and goes for it
I thought we should have gone for Shane Long for that type of money. Started well for WBA but seems to have gone off the boil of late.
the class part was with reference to his defending of corners. I think he would be good for us though. As for his goalscoring record, it isn't bad, and hes never been in a good team. I know we aren't but still

McFadden and Anichebe aren't strikers.
Saha has scored once all season.
Straq/Velios still trying to coming to terms with English/senior football.
Why don't we need any strikers again?
As i've already sort of alluded to, He is not good enough to sort our problems out, at all. The way Denis played on Friday is=to Kevin Doyles good performances except Stracq is a finisher as well. We should be looking in the El hamadaoui, Barrios market, not Doyle. I honestly am quite enthusiastic about any signing, but if we only sign Kevin Doyle on deadline day I will be totally underwhelmed.
he scored 21 in the argentinean top flight an a hat-trick against Boca juniors, the only player to ever do that. On his one goal, this was only his third start in the most difficult league in the world playing for a side that's struggling at current, he hasn't had many opportunities to get a clean shot at goal and when he finally did he buried the chance with an excellent header, which then raised his confidence to lead the line expertly against a very confident Fulham defence, it's my opinion that Denis deserves his chance, Doyle has never scored enough goals to be considered anything near a solution to our current Goalscoring issues, would just be a waste of money and a further step in the wrong direction imo.Stracq a good finisher? He's scored once!! Come on lad, get a grip! Doyle has a much better touch than Stracq and IS without doubt a better player.
Vote Denis.
