Such a great player, he put his heart into his time with us and was a lovely bloke as well.

He fully deserved the honour of being our number 9 in my opinion.

I know he did a lot for us as a footballer for which I am eternally grateful, but I’m more gutted for the loss of the person who I never had the pleasure of meeting but seemed like a warm and generous human being who increasingly showed his love for Everton through the years. Genuinely gutted by the news and have been all day.

Really awful news. Super Kev was a player I liked even when he was at the gunners. True Everton hero and came across as a wonderful man. Rest in peace.
