Kenwright or Kenwrong

The Kirkby debacle was the worst thing during his tenure. Having said that, 59% of voting Evertonians supported his attempt to move the club out of Liverpool and in to a small town that is 9 miles away from the city centre. I have questioned the intelligence of Evertonians ever since tbh.

Behave soft arse. I find that insulting you have the audacity to claim we'd allow it.

Think what happens after Kenwright will be significant in determining his legacy.

If in 5 years we're in a 60,000 seater on Bramley Moore with Moshiri (and dare I say Usmanov?!) transforming the club, then he'd deserve a lot of credit for that.

There's also talk that Moshiri can't take majority shares until there's a spade in the ground on BMD - again, if that's true then Kenwright would deserve some credit for that.

On the pitch (and even off it transfer wise when you consider the players lost!), Moshiri hasn't delivered anything in his 2+ years more than Kenwright.

I also think fans overestimate his day to day role now, any key decisions is Moshiri despite the tendency to praise Moshiri for the good, and criticise Kenwright for the bad.

/runs

I think that sums it up. He has made mistakes, as have other clubs. His only real problem was a lack of money and not wanting to give up the train set. But if we are not on the way to improvement with Moshiri and his financial clout then we cannot blame Bill for that. He is a good Evertonian, he loves the club and his heart is grounded in Merseyside and its people. He must give up any control but I hope he sticks around as a figurehead as, like us, he deserves to see a bit of success as well.......

Debacle is the word - Destination Kirkby feels like a bad dream now with the perspective of time. Sort of a double failure for Blue Bill, as it was a horrible idea that he went all in on and still couldn't make it happen.

For all you doubters about Mr Kenwright I remember A BLOKE CALLED JOHNSON A FOOD HAMPER GUY.MR KENWRIGHT SAVED U.S. FROM BEING ,A LEEDS A SUNDERLAND A VILLA ALL YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE THANKING BILL KENWRIGHT FOR EVERTON F.C

And we still won more under johnson than kenwrong

I just wish he'd given us more to be thankful of.

Pretty sure (not 100% unfortunately) that he only tried to do his best by the club - however even there his best has been misguided far too often. He saved us from Hampers, got us relatively stable (think we weren't too far off doing a Leeds), but missed way too many opportunities and kept us running as a glorified boys club with little business acumen when our rivals were minting it.

Needs shuffling very quickly and firmly into some sort of lifetime president type position where he has absolutely no say in the running of the club. Maybe ask him to make Chairman: The Musical to keep him too busy to interfere lol

Can understand the skepticism towards the article, a lot of bold claims made & seemingly very little understanding of why people don't like Kenwright.

Personally for me its the way hes treated evertonians with disdain for his own personal gain, about £90m is it?

He should be thanking the club for whats its done for him (made him more money than his theatre company ever could) not the other way around.

Hmm. What are the odds of 2 genuine everton fans joining a forum on the same day to defend bill kenwright?

I think we should be praising the chairman that led to the creation of the RS. Not because they came into existence, but because they acted as a magnet for generations of fans who have/had a propensity for being bad bellends. Kept them away from our club.

Hmm.

I created the account to accompany the article submitted via email/Submit Article, as I do with all writers. Another example from today: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/ev-olution-not-revolution.103852/

The writer is legit, he's active on Twitter for years etc.

Hilarious how some seem to think it implausible for someone to have a different opinion to them.

* Buys tin foil hats to sell on GOT.

Those who want to constantly wind up other fans because they don’t think he’s marvellous are weird imo, maybe they should be the ones having the “kopite behaviour “ tag thrown at them for a change.

The world is made on opinions. I'm not so sure he's as bad as people say, equally he's not as good as this article suggests.

If we didn't have the money for kings dock, well, we didn't have it. I don't and did not see a queue of people willing to hand it over. Move on.

Moving to Kirkby wasn't an issue for me. Man U don't play in Manchester does anyone care?

His biggest failing is his own ego. Thanks for most of what you've done, he can jog on now.

Don't want to sound harsh, but I thoroughly disagree with most of the article.

To suggest Bill's biggest failing was appointing Sam is just plain daft. Of all the cock ups he's made here, and there are a lot, you've picked something that clearly wasn't even his decision.... o_O

Thankfully he's now all but sidelined but he oversaw the most unsuccessful period in the history of our club, and not even happy clapper revisionism will change that.
