if IF we sell fellaini we really need to make a statement with his replacements

honda would be the sort of signing to get fans excited, and would cost a fraction of the felli fee

JAPAN midfielder Keisuke Honda could be motoring into the Premier League.

Honda wants to join his international team-mate Shinji Kagawa in the top flight after seeing out his deal with CSKA Moscow.

And he will have no shortage of offers after helping CSKA become Russian champions last season.

Honda, 27, is available on a free after rejecting repeated attempts by the Moscow outfit’s coach Leonid Zlutsky to get him to sign a new long-term deal. Everton, Aston Villa and long-term admirers Tottenham will lead the charge for Honda, who is currently on Confederations Cup duty with his country in Brazil.

New Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is keen to make him his first signing since checking in as David Moyes’ successor at Goodison because of concerns about Marouane Fellaini’s future.

Spurs can do one! their midfield choir is already overcrowded.. Bale, Dembele, Sandro, Holtby, Sigurdsson, Parker, Dempsey, Livermore, and if you believe the most recent transfer rumors, Paulinho as well! There is no reason for them to sign another first team midfielder... there is just not enough minutes to go around.

We have a need for a midfield playmaker and can offer him a guaranteed starting role in a top half table side. Much like we were able to offer Mirallas, while Arsenal could not guarantee him a starting spot. So if it comes down to us and Villa, I fancy our chances.

He would be a tremendous signing & on a free to boot.

If martinez can pull this one off, I'll be suitably impressed.

Haven't seen much of him play. Seen brief clips of him for Japan v Italy but couldn't gauge it really. Is he any good (compared to Kagawa say)?

I find it really strange that he wasn't bought a couple years ago from cska by a big champions league club. ?? With that in mind maybe we do have a chance of signing him
