On one hand I feel for this esk fella getting pelters everyday from the unwashed members of society.

But the raving conspiracy loon inside me has an inkling he's been planted by the club as a "good news" story spreader in order to build the optimism for record season sales.

Then we're all sitting there with our Stekelenburg goalie kits as the clock ticks towards midnight on August 31st.

"It's still on, Witsel and Mata are acquiescent to Moshiri's desires, negation are notoriously complicated, a little patience is necessary"

Then as the yellow bar slowly fades to white and the transfer window SLAMS SHUT across the Sky Sports News channels, he calmly nods, smiles, logs off and signs up with a new username.
