Jose Mourinho

No mate I've read multiple times on here that 'HE WILL RUIN US'

Pffft ruin what exactly. Destroy our abysmal trophy draught? Obliterate our disgusting derby record? Wreck our stagnant midtable status.

It's probably the opinion I can't tolerate the most on here.
Yeah we can’t lose much apart from maybe being relegated, and Jose would never allow that on his record

he’s probably forgotten more about tactics than Silva will ever know
That doesn't mean he's still a a leading tactician.

He's trending downward imo. His best achievements, Inter treble, Porto, the back to back with Chelsea, are all over ten years ago. His next best, Madrid title, Chelsea 14/15, are five years ago. Maybe United are just a disaster and he still has it, but I think he's lost his fastball and I'd much rather get someone who is on the rise than the tail end of Mourinho even if he is better than most of our options.

I think he's perfect for Spurs, They have a decent ready made team to do business, Spurs need the push that Poch can't seem to do (CL final etc) Maybe Kane and Eriksen will stay for longer if someone of his level walked in the doors.
It makes perfect sense tbh.

Getting that terrible Utd team to finish 2nd doesn't seem too bad after all!

You read his quotes recently, ie wants a top job with a chance of winning things and not one for finishing 7th.

He turned the Lyon job down at the weekend and was quoted " He wants a top club with a top project" and Lyon are a CL club as well mate!!!!

Brexit will happen on Halloween than us getting Mourinho.

He never said to Lyon he wants a top job - and for quotes of wanting a top job theirs also quotes about him being happy at a club that would allow him to build for future success.

To suggest we have no chance is deluded - part of me stupidly thinks there could be something in it as we are very quiet over Silva- not one public backing of him from anyone.

The fervour with which the Everton fans would get behind Mourinho would be something to behold. He'd only have to hint at his dissatisfaction with a player or club official, and that person would be in for a relentless hounding.

I know it's never going to happen with him in particular, but I do think that what this club needs is someone to believe in. We had it with Moyes, whose work in dragging the club away from the threat of relegation can't be overestimated, but that faded once he started to reinforce his own glass ceiling in an effort to make himself more appealing to potential suitors. There was also Rooney, who could have been our talisman on the field, but unfortunately he came along at a time when Kenwright and his cronies were at their absolute worst. His second spell doesn't count.
