saved with both hands, as we all know how poor we are at defending corners. A point to think on, late in the game if he knocks the ball out for a corner, the Ref will find time for a corner, but if the goalie saves it with both hands (Like West,Southall or
Martin would have) and walks around his box then clears the ball upfield, it may bring full-time safely.

Tbf mate, I think you're trying to find something wrong which isn't there.

First of all, you're saying not only does he have to save it, he has to take all the sting out of the ball so he can calmly collect it afterwards. He's only got a pair of hands. The harder Shaqiri hits it, the harder it is to take the sting out of it. Simple.

To your point of 'he should know we aren't good at defending corners', again- when facing that shot- he isn't thinking about the consequences of the save, his job is just to save it.
If those idiots in front of him can't track a man at a corner then that's not his fault. Thinking about it though, since RoKoe came in, we've looked pretty decent at set pieces haven't we?
I just think you've got this a bit wrong mate, in all honesty.

It was a quality save. You'd expect a good keeper to make that save, but his all-round performance was good and surely confidence-inspiring to his defenders.
