I don’t think his mistake cost us anything there, except maybe momentum. It was poor, but we got away with it and the ball went dead.

The players should have enough about them to reset and not concede stupidly again.

I really WANT him to be "the guy". His distribution is really terrible, he punches instead of catching and we cannot, for the life of us, keep a clean sheet. Whilst I don't want to say "we would be FAR better with Robles", i just don't really see it.


That being said, he's STILL the best purchase of the summer. That's how terrible this summer was.

Do you know what an individual error is?

Put me in goal for an under 7s side and I’ll keep a clean sheet all season. Put me in the prem and I’ll concede double figures. This Everton team and the Sunderland one Pickford played for are comfortably, comfortably worse than any side Robles featured in. You can’t compare them based on those stats.
