That save at the end is 2 points in the books that we wouldn't have had last season. He only needs to do that a few times in a season to be worth the entire fee and more

Don't realise how much you miss a top keeper between the sticks until you've got one in there. He was quality today. Bossed crosses, decisive and what a save. No doubt in my mind we'd have dropped points had Joel or stek been in net today.

He'll be on shortly saying how wrong Koeman got it in the first half and will bypass the positive impact Rooney and Pickford had altogether.

Unflappable. Bound to be a bit nervous on his debut, but it didn't show. Had very little to do in all honesty up until that brilliant save (that made it all the better) and commanded his area really well. I sense he might get a bit more action in his next league game though...

It's what De Gea has been doing for United for the past few years. Don't want to jump the gun, but he looks very promising.
