2024/25 Jordan Pickford

Not even close.

Martin was a good keeper - not a patch on the great Southall, of course - but wasn't here long enough. Pickford is building an entire career here and is top class, one of the world's great goalkeepers this decade. He has played in two European Championship finals and a World Cup semi-final and been outstanding in all three games. I think it's our own self-hate that stops us embracing him for what he is. Just because he plays for us - at our lowest - does not preclude him from being one of the world's top 10 players in his position this decade.
LoL He isnt even in the best 50. Not consistent enough. To hectic and not good enough on high balls in the box. Positioning on shots outside the box is not top class. Not having the size of the real top keepers like Courthois and a few others doesnt help

I’ll be honest, not too many keepers get a finger on the free kick by Fernandes. Why can’t we just say he made a brilliant shot and placed it perfectly? Even the second goal was great. It is what it is. The first was awesome. The second had lots of errors that led up to it and Pickford just happened to be the last guy in a chain.

Fernandes is brilliant and the first free kick was brilliant. No way Pickers is stopping that unless he could see the future. I do think he tends to cheat a bit on those, but I don't think he is ever stopping that. The only argument I would make is maybe he tempted Bruno to go that way. I'm reaching at that point though.

From the replays looks like he could do better on the free-kick. Don’t know why Doucoure doesn’t stick his head there though.

Why does everyone say no way he should be stopping that. He should of been standing exactly were it went. Not the first time Fernandes has scored a free kick and it wont be the last with that clown in goal

It didn't go in the corner and he stepped to the wall side which made it impossible to save even though it was an average free kick. If he doesn't step to the side he saves it comfortably. It wasn't even blasted. It a common mistake that he does.
