Easily our best keeper since Big Nev

nigel martyn was an awesome keeper that would have pushed Nev close but sadly, we didnt see enough of him. JP1 has been terrific for us, mad as a box of frogs but we love him for that

Martin was a good keeper - not a patch on the great Southall, of course - but wasn't here long enough. Pickford is building an entire career here and is top class, one of the world's great goalkeepers this decade. He has played in two European Championship finals and a World Cup semi-final and been outstanding in all three games. I think it's our own self-hate that stops us embracing him for what he is. Just because he plays for us - at our lowest - does not preclude him from being one of the world's top 10 players in his position this decade.

Sure I read his family are settled in Cheshire, kids in local schools etc and part of the reason he was desperate not to get relegated is he didn't want to have to move clubs and change their situation.

The wall was on the other side that’s the whole problem!

His job is to cover that side and he didn’t do his job, which could honestly be the case way more often because he always moves early as he did there.

Pickford has saved us time and time again. Whether he was at fault or not today.....I'm not really bothered.

Amazing how when we concede, some are his fault, no where near as many as some make out, the 1st thought on some peoples thoughts is how to have a go at Pickford, always the same people

I do get so wound up by this from him, probably because he is so good and I have so much time for him. But surely an outfield player needs to tell him, as someone taking a free kick, it's so hard to try and get it up and down over a wall, especially when so close, that he should just allow that to go in, as opposed to trying to second guess it and leave the whole of his side exposed. It makes it so easy to score and it's happened quite a number of times
