But the fact that every cross he came and claimed the ball with authority...
It's been a long time since he's done that consistently and you can't underestimate how much confidence that gives the team

Very good game today. Let's hope the competition from Olsen has sunk in and he realises that he can't just coast and still play.

I definitely think this is it and the fact Carlo rotates his keepers regularly.

It’s a shame he’s not the sort of keeper that can take yesterday’s performance and build on it. Every game he plays seems to be Day 1 again and anything can happen.

No playing up to the cameras with needless dives
His handling was solid

Hopefully the penny has finally dropped with him, that he's not as good as he thinks he is so has to work on his game and part of that work is to continue to concentrate all the time.

The block and gather from Salah in the second half was magnificent goalkeeping, brave and decisive. The full stretch saves were superb and showed his footwork was top notch.

As a former amateur goalkeeper myself of dubious quality, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Pickford has the physical attributes to be an excellent keeper - it's his mind that needs to be worked on. Maturity can make a big difference for him.
