Its not even the tackle thats the cause of the wailing. 1) we were and remain above them. 2) they'd just been spotted by villa. 3) his loss is a significant blow to the rest of their season. 4) cumulatively this is just not how this is meant to go for their title defense.

Subconsciously they're terrified its all built on sand. And they're off and screeching....

Carlo needs to put his arm around Pickford and talk him through this nonsense. And I'm sure he will.
He certainly needs more support from the club than Holgate got in the Firmino affair. But fat Sam was manager than. Holgate a career was put back 18 months plus he also had the FA censure over the homophobic tweets, whilst the racist issue was swept under the carpet

Sorry but that's rubbish.
He was as [Poor language removed] yesterday as he has been all year.

He's been utterly saved by horrendous refereeing and VAR.

Yes he made a save from Matip but he got so lucky the headlines are about him supposedly assaulting a fellow pro and not about him costing his team top of the table.
It's clearly not rubbish because there's a third of people on here that voted him MOM

I think it’s time he got dropped so he can sort himself mentally. He’s a brilliant keeper but has brain f@rts every game. If he sorts those he’ll be fine.

There is definitely a good argument for resting him for a few matches. It all depends on whether Carlo thinks he will turn a corner or not.

The Van Dijk incident was utterly daft. And then the Henderson goal he let in at the end was really poor. Thankfully both were offside but he has definitely gotten rather lucky in not costing us the match.

The saves he made during, he showcased the best of himself. He needs to get off the rollercoaster and have a few games with no mistakes.

Van Dijk definitely tried to win a penalty because he just stopped still. Pickford is a bad bell but he wouldn't expect him to just stop still.

Anyone who thinks he did well on Saturday is patting him back for the injury. He was an utter shambles on & did enough damage again to get hooked out the team. Play Olsen quickly

He pulled off a couple of cracking saves too.

I'm not a fan but he deserves credit for Saturday not abuse.

Anyway everyone else is giving him dogs abuse for his "assault" maybe we should rally behind him for once?

Silly, He had his usual great save's with the errors in the game he is having lately-the hate for him from some of our own fans is truly unreal
The only thing he has done is come out and spread himself trying to block the chance as most keepers do, its just unlucky the way it ended.
