I’ll assume he isn’t suggesting an ISIS like approach, not least because they don’t seem to reduce any violence!, although this older tweet from him is a bit weird.


I’m guessing he is meaning more a 1950s culture but how you promote/encourage/force that when clearly quite a lot of both sexes don’t want it? He also seems to be willfully blind to the fact there there is also quite a lot of violence perpetrated by men who are/were married - a significant number of mass shootings are done by men killing their ex partners and relatives/friends.

When I wrote "looney left", I'm talking about the ones on the far left who have hijacked the left. Thus making the left unelectable in the UK & USA. But most certainly in the USA, they are a little bit more advanced in their lunacy.

And this comes from somebody who has voted "left" all his life. But will never do again in it's current state.

Decent debate about political correctness that derails a bit. Peterson was pretty jumbled tbh, on the defence from the pro-PC team, but Fry was absolutely great

Btw speaking of Shapiro did you see his article on the NYT piece? Found this particularly interesting- even Shapiro isn’t buying the enforced monogamy spiel.

Here’s what Peterson is arguing: socially-enforced monogamy results in more pairings, and fewer situations in which multiple women choose one man, leaving other men without partners. This is statistically unassailable. Removing socially-enforced monogamy results in a hierarchy in which women choose the most desirable men, since many women can now have sex with one man. Peterson argues that this leads to a counterintuitive result as well: desirable men are less likely to settle down with one woman, making women less satisfied with their relationships with men as well.

Now, I don't find this argument particularly convincing. I’m a big believer in monogamy, and I believe that both women and men are better off in a monogamous society. But while society would benefit from promotion of monogamy, the solution for incels is to become better potential partners, not to whine about breakdown in the monogamous standard (few incels are complaining that they can’t find women to marry; they’re mostly claiming they can’t find women to have sex with).

Will give that a read later, i.normally try to avoid Shapiro at all costs, even just reading him I can see his creepy little eyes darting around.

Oh it is mostly what you would expect, although tbf I think he has some points about the author showing some obvious bias, just found it surprising that he wasn’t all in on enforced monogamy himself.
