That's the thing that gets me, he equates wanting to look good with a desire to be sexually attractive. He reduces it to its basest level.

Just as a thought experiment, think how many heads would explode if a 'feminazi' said (or openly pondered) men in the workplace is a bad thing because they wear suits, shine their shoes and clean their teeth, all a clear attempt to make them more sexually attractive to women so they can't really be trusted.

It would be openly laughed at. She wouldn't be called one of the most important thinkers of her time and sell out speaking tours throughout the world.

The more I hear from this guy the less impressed I become.

I just hope that a make up artist who is working on him for one of his numerous tv spots asks him who he is trying to pull by wearing foundation!

Mr. Peterson does not pause when he says this. Enforced monogamy is, to him, simply a rational solution. Otherwise women will all only go for the most high-status men, he explains, and that couldn’t make either gender happy in the end.
Half the men fail,” he says, meaning that they don’t procreate. “And no one cares about the men who fail.”

I laugh, because it is absurd.

“You’re laughing about them,” he says, giving me a disappointed look. “That’s because you’re female.”

But aside from interventions that would redistribute sex, Mr. Peterson is staunchly against what he calls “equality of outcomes,” or efforts to equalize society. He usually calls them pathological or evil. He agrees that this is inconsistent. But preventing hordes of single men from violence, he believes, is necessary for the stability of society. My opinion of him, is that he's a very logical person, and that he's making a sh1t ton of money in donations, simply because the looney left are p1ssing most people off in America. I have very mixed views of him, personally. A lot of his own pointlessly over-intellectualized views boil down to his old-white-guy world view that he has trouble stepping out of. He seems to be spending a bizarre amount of time hyperbolically attacking things that will have zero effect on his life, such as gender-neutral pronouns...I have trouble imagining a more idiotic battle to choose to fight.

The guy studied in great length Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. When his own government started introducing insane hate speech laws, it sent off alarm bells.

Forcing people to use language that only the state permits, is an abuse of state power and totalitarian in nature. It sets a dangerous precedent.
