Jonny Evans. Strongly linked by proper newspapers. Hmm.

Assuming he comes for, lets say, 6m upfront, then is he ?

relax mate, you might live through it

Not bad, £8m seems a little much but if that's he going rate, then that's that.
Come to terms with it now, I want a Carlos Kickaball type signing, not Johnny bloody Evans for 8 million

He's crap.
He played for Man U he must be good.
He's gash.
He played for Man U he must be good.
He's awful.
I trust Ferguson who knows more than you.
He played for Man U he must be good.
He's terrible.
He played for Man U he must be good.
He's injury prone.
He played for Man U he must be good.
He'd the worst defender ever.
I trust Martinez who knows more than you.
LOL

In terms of transfers, this is just like Neville and Gibson. Utd cast-offs. At least those two didn't cost the earth. Eight million pounds. Unreal.

He won't be coming in as 3rd choice backup, he'll go straight in alongside Jagielka with Stones dropping to the bench.

Very true. But he's only looked tosh when next to tosh. When he was with Vidic, Ferdinand or Nyron Nosworthy he looked solid and more than capable. Obviously, Jags or Stones aren't as good as Vidic or Ferdinand in their prime, but they're better than most of Evan's defensive partners in the last two seasons.

As back up I think he's better than Alcaraz or Distin, which means we've improved in my book.
Sorted
