Jonny Evans. Strongly linked by proper newspapers. Hmm.

Assuming he comes for, lets say, 6m upfront, then is he ?

bit of a dodgy ankle then.
Perhaps if he wore proper black football boots with proper protection rather than those garish homosexual slippers Footballers wear these days, he wouldn't have a problem.

At least he's got a proper haircut.

My main issue is when we play United I usually think we've a good or better chance if he's playing.

I imagine I'm not alone in thinking this.

Very true. But he's only looked tosh when next to tosh. When he was with Vidic or Ferdinand he looked solid and more than capable. Obviously, Jags or Stones aren't as good as Vidic or Ferdinand in their prime, but they're better than most of Evan's defensive partners in the last two seasons.

As back up I think he's better than Alcaraz or Distin, which means we've improved in my book.

After hearing Salex ferguson talking about him once, every time Jonny Evans is mentioned my first though is "he's ball playing centre back" in a slightly grizzly Scottish tone. He's always looked fairly steady the games I've seen him and could be a useful signing if the money's right.

Totally agree with that last bit. Mind you my cat would be better than those two utter wastes.

He won't be coming in as 3rd choice backup, he'll go straight in alongside Jagielka with Stones dropping to the bench.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH THIS IS ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS!! HE IS BANG AVERAGE AND 8 MIL IS RIDICULOUS!! THIS HAS MADE ME ANGRY
relax mate, you might live through it

Not bad, £8m seems a little much but if that's he going rate, then that's that.
