Only by doing things the proper way. Not by showing another club a total lack of respect by continuing to tease a player when it's been plainly stated that the player is not for sale. Besides, if you really want to get him, pay the 30 million he's valued at and be on your way. Enough of the nickel and dime shenanigans.

Facts here;

Everton have turned down offers of £15m and £18m from Mark Hughes' Manchester City for the experienced central defender.

If Moyes accepted either of them offers we all would have been up in arms. We couldn't replace Lescott for that fee, nevermind improve the squad.

Fully back Moyes here, nice to see us have a spine. Only sell if it benefits us, not Mark F-ing Hughes. Give it until January and Hughes will be sacked and end of interest. Think thats why Lescott will be in a hurry to 2x/3x his wages.
