Nah, dont think so. Only thing the board have done is not find financing to keep players like Lescott and bring other players in.

Lescott's with Barry and Wright Phillips at the England training camp having words...he wants more money and sees Citeh with more ambition than Everton....

define ambition? look at the average age of players they're buying. if they were ambitious they'd buy up the entire u21 squad for the top countries in the world, championships can be bought but not in one season. think about who owns them, this is not a long term investment, they're looking to make a quick buck, they'll work till they can win one major trophy and then dump the club back to the gutter they found it in.

they're no more ambitious than us, we're making progress slowly but surely, and we will dismantle the sky 4 monopoly, and when that day comes, lescott and the rest of his manchester shitty teammates can enjoy seeing the highlights of the final season game, as the missed the game live since they were training for the upcoming championship promotion playoff.

To be honest we need to get as much money as we can for Lescott now, i doubt if Arsenal will give us that. Its fine having principles but this is football, its win at any cost these days.
I hope we can hold out for around 30million and then we can build again, lets just hope whatever money we get for Lescott gets added to the money we already have, however i have a feeling that whatever we get for Lescott is the transfer budget.

Fully agree with everything in bold and hope you'll be proven right with the rest. Not gonna happen without some kind of investment though. However, please not the Shittey way.

Just look at it from Lescott's POV - Citeh have spent £200million since their owners have taken over, have tried to sign some of the best players in the world. They're making a massive effort to buy success. Citeh want Lescott to join their "revolution" and are willing to pay him handsomely while still trying to buy "great" players to break into the top 4.

He looks at Everton and probably saw the glass ceiling. He saw no transfer activity and no funding for the 2nd season running after his most successful season. He probably saw getting 5th position in the league and an FA Cup final as a great achievement...but nothing from the club that pounces on that achievement as other teams around the club do worst and spend more to give the impression of improvement.

Everton whinge about having no money and admit money is what's needed to make success. Lescott sees the money at Shitteh and agree what Moyes and we all say...money talks and gives you a better chance at success -- so he wants to go.

BUT - I posted this in the Ale House from Wiki...

A player may make a "transfer request" [5]. In this case, the player is publicly stating his desire to move, and encouraging other clubs to make an offer for him. Due to the public nature of transfer requests, they may often be used by players to air their grievances in the open, such as frustration over contract negotiations [6] or clash of personality with the manager. Often a player may remove their request if the source of unhappiness is resolved [7]. Alternatively a club can reject a transfer request, effectively stating their intention to reject any offer for their player [8]. In post-Bosman football, the effect of rejecting a transfer request has been weakened, as players can see out their contract and eventually leave for free. Clubs are more inclined to sell the player in order to recoup some money, even if they do not wish to let the player go.

Do Citeh still want him? How much they going to pay because Lescott still has 3 years or so on his contract that we can hold him to it no matter how much he cries and moans.

I've changed my mind, we can still play hardball being that if Lescott sulks and doesnt want to play he wont get to the World Cup. Unless his lawyers find a way to get out of the contract, Citeh will have to pay up because he's employed to the club and we can do whatever we want with him.

I think if moyes says he will let him go though, city will just match if not lower their last bid.

I'd still reject their next bid, unless we have a replacement signed.

Do you not think keeping a player against his will, just to prove a point is a little bad for the squad?

Not sure its that Ghost. We're just not showing our cards. He's been for sale since day one if City match Moyes' valuation - Hopefully that doesn't change.

With it being a World Cup year, Lescott still has to play, and well.

One point though, you have to laugh at how Lescott waited until he was away on International duty....

I'm sure others have already said this, but.....Sell him, i don't want anyone at our club who does not want to be there.
Take the money and make us stronger, so others wont want to follow Lescott out the door.

the hatred you lads have for lescott now is unreal and to add to the the disrespectfulness you have for city is bordering on vile.

we have done nothing wrong and for you who think we have are deluded because you cant see whats going on with your board and manager.

because we have put 2 bids in and failed you are ****ging us off and now it looks like we have conceaded defeat and move to other targets you still **** us off.

are you telling me if you had rich owners you wouldnt want to better your club?

No, not really, Hopefully this will bring the players together even closer, just like when Rooney left, No one is bigger than this club.

I just don't want to be bullied by these ********s. I would seriously knock back any offer under 25m, they want to be considered a big team, pay big team money for good (not world class) defenders. If he's worth 25m then Jags is worth 40m EASILY!!!!

Well yeah it's a bit cowardish.

But Moyes is going to look stupid when he sells him, because it's not like he's being playing his cards close to his chest, or being coy. He has said I'm not selling - straight out.

And he's not going to want to sell him this close to the season, if they had a valuation why didn't they just say this is the deal, buy him and we can move on other players.
