Me too mate. Have a bacon butty, I feel fine now :)

It's superbad...McLocvin/Fogel.

Never laughed so much at a film. Give it a watch  (y)

A big NO

I know money talks, but selling him in my mind would send out a negative vibe to the rest of the squad heralding an eventual mass exodus - Arteta, Cahill etc etc , within a few seasons we would be back to square one, albeit much richer - but what good is money when your in the championship.

We must be seen as moving forward - selling our best players is not the thing to do.

The next few weeks could be a very critical time for the future aspirations of Everton football club.

P.S if it comes to the point were we so have to sell him - I demand we shaft Citeh for every penny we can !!!
Lescott for £20 mill - Ferdinand went for £30 mill in 2002!!!

Agree with this, a slippery slope

If Moyes think it's good business, we should sell. If not, keep him.

Now if it was £25m, I'd definitely vote to sell.:D

Getting on my nerves now you, button it.

He aint for sale, Eastlands is that way boy.

You would sell him for £25m, lad, assuming the money goes straight to Moyes. TBH, C-man, you're restricting the club if you continually block the sales of players just because they're good.

Given we have limited resources, it is the duty of the manager to improve the team by the method we are discussing. Now if Moyes doesn't believe Lescott's sale would offer benefits, of course it would be stupid to sell.

And Tranmere is that way, lerd.

I just cant see the point in selling our best players.

Nothing will convince me otherwise. When we sold Rooney, that was it for me, thankfully the little gerbil proved that it was MOSTLY him, so I could see the reasons. Ive seen how much that money has helped the club, it could be argued it made us what we are now.

But that was then, this is now. Now we are bigger, better, now we should be buying the players to take us to that next level. We dont have that money, the answer isnt to sell our best players, somebody needs to put away the controller, somebody needs to stop playing with that train set.

Agree with you here. When we sold Rooney, almost any player worth more than £1M would be a significant improvement to our team, no matter what position he had. Now we need players in the £7-15M region, at least, to do the same.

Saw on a ManC page that they will be offering Lescott "A Dream Move"... If I where to be transfered to ManC, I would call it a nightmare.:dodgy:

If the offer comes, I hope he stays and don't turn mercenary and join them for the cash.

Post of the day.

18 million is alot of money for a centre back, I still wouldn't be keen on it though. City are one of our rivals and we only have Yobo and Lescott available with Jagielka's injury. If Lescott was sold we've only have Yobo, a 16 year old German lad we've just signed from Hamburg and Jack Rodwell, a 18 year old who hasn't played centre back for two years.

It'd be a big risk, obviously it raises money to improve in other areas but we've still got to replace Lescott with another centre back. He's a quality player and quality players are hard to replace, especially one who is also one of the better left backs in the League.

But if it is the only way to improve the team, it has to be done. Of course in an ideal world, you don't sell a player like Lescott. But it's not an ideal world. Additionally, the people who think it might be a good idea to cash in if a silly amount was offered, aren't saying we sell so we can pay a debt or something. They're wondering whether Lescott being sold for £20m+ could bring a benefit that is unattainable should Lescott not be sold.

At the end of the day, we all want the same thing, which is for the club to progress. There is just a difference of opinion regarding how the club does that at this current time, with this current board.

If they offer us 20m we simply have to do it imo. Lescott is a gun and is extremely solid but Mout or someone like that WILL win us games off his own boot. Besides if they do offer us that we will have plenty of monies left over to buy ourselves a quality right back/mid.

I'd be happy if we sold only to City and rinsed them - for £25million or more. I think for that we could a get a replacement as good as Lescott with extra onto our funds for buying other players.

I don't think he'll go. If he does...and it's to City I will never forgive him. If he went to a side that was in the Champions League, then fair enough but it doesn't mean I would be happy about it.

I don't think we should be selling our best players. When you look at how well Jags and Lescott work together, it would be a step backwards if we sold Lescott. I expect to still challenge City, however much money they've spent so for that reason we should not be selling to them anyway. Not for any amount.
