John Stones

I'd ship out Mori and Williams and use those funds and add a bit extra to have John Stones back at Everton, all day.

You got £15m-£20m when shipping out Mori and Williams. Citch want some crazy fee like £75m for him so a big no for me. He does not shown enough to warrant such fee.

Don't believe he would come back to us, incident while fuelling up is car with fans, and the brain dead lower bullens boo boys

Great defender in my opinion, he would come in as our best defender, but would need a tough tackler beside him

Pipe dreams, Arsenal maybe otherwise abroad
What’s all this?

Lots of variables in this, how much they want for him for starters. Anything over 30 million and it's a no for me. If we still had Allardyce in charge what is he going to do in our team? No way would he be allowed to Cruyff turn in his own box anymore. (Not necessarily a bad thing)

We need a defender to come in and steady the ship not sink it. People saying he would be our best defender are missing the point, he would be a tiny upgrade (perhaps) out of a bunch of geriatrics and bang out of form players.

Pep bought him for his ball playing skills so what we have learnt is they are not good enough to make up for his defensive deficiencies. So doesn't that make him pointless? Also once they get to the top and then step down again unless it is a blip and they think they can get back, the motivation goes. It may be there a few games but if things go against us he will sit back and shine his league winners medal. We need hungry players on the way up to supplement the others else we are just a team of mercenaries.

If its true that city are looking to sell then I suspect it's because they've got an FFP problem, otherwise it makes no sense. He's been very unlucky this season, he was excellent in the early stages but got injured and didn't come back quite the same and lost his place to Kompany.

I'd love to see a centre back pairing of Stones and somebody like Koulibaly of Napoli for us, but I'm aware of how much of a pipe dream that is.

It's very possible about the FFP thing as Pep said the other week they only want to sign 2/3 players this summer rather than the 9 or so they signed last year.

If that's the case we should try for Patrick Roberts as well
