Could see him going to RS.

*blergh*

Or Chelsea with Cahill on the decline and they have admired him for a long time, or Arsenal with a new manager and Mustafi being turd, or Spurs with Alderweirald looking to leave in the summer.

Join the back of the que Everton.

Anyway, ive always had the impression he hates us (the fans), why would he come back here to just be yelled at to boot the ball int o the stands

Maybe Spurs or Arsenal will throw him a lifeline. He appears to be too much in his own head, and goes to pieces when things get too much.

Reported to be on around £100,000 per week.

How much is he on? How much do they want?

I'm not totally against this. Not totally for mind you. Low transfer fee and negotiated buy back for city might give us a decent option for a couple of seasons whilst the team is overhauled. There's a top player in Stones but he needs to play. In 2 seasons he might be the real deal and back with City or we might be left with a very decent defender.

A bit of creative dealing and if it fits all parties then why not?
Makes sense
What about a loan deal with a decent loan fee.
Or maybe City need the money to comply with FFP if they are going to spend close on 200 m this window.
However if we are to keep Keane I think we need a big hunk of a left footed CB who can pick a pass and is a leader.
I doubt if such a player exists who would come to Everton.

The S*n reported this and City fans seem to think its premium grade BS. I doubt he'd want to come back here anyway, would be seen as a big step backwards, I think better clubs would be in for him as well.

He would be the best defender at the club.

He and Holgate at CB would be great. Coleman on the right and (hopefully) someone like Bertrand on the left.

Unless he goes abroad, I would see him strengthening the top 6 teams to a degree that City would not accept. I think we might be a palatable option.

A low transfer fee (Still in 10s of millions I guess) with a buy back clause is in effect just a medium or long term loan in my eyes such as it was with Delofeou. I'm ok with that. It's a good way to get quality players in.

Seeing as how you mentioned Geri , we had him Stones Barkley and Lukaku at one point.
We were going to build a side around these 4
One at Watford , one on the bench at Chelsea , one on the bench at city and one scoring at United.
It’s funny how players fortunes change.
I wonder if all 3 ( Lukaku excepted ) regret leaving.
