Buying a player of his experience and playing him out of position or from the bench a lot of the time was never going to end well. Stupid transfer all round.

Shudder to think he's even captained our side on several occasions. What a gyp!
Here's hoping the new gaffer can handle the Heitinga problem quickly.
No loan-to-buy, no weasly turkish deals, no cut-price-yakubu-like dump deals.
Sell him for a decent price and give Duffy the chance he deserves.
Oh, and buy another backup CB. After Jags, Distin and Duffy there's... Browning?

After some truly awful performances he began to look better near the end of the season. If a new manager can get the best out of him and get him to sign a 12 month extension I'd keep him.

He's only saying what we all know anyway. I wish he "got it" like Jags and Baines seem to but that's professional footballers these days.

From what I've seen of Duffy in the U21's he needs more competitive games to improve his concentration, either here or out on loan.
