Joel Robles

Well RM brought him here so is it a sense of gratitude or leaning as you suggest. Well if Joel feels that way he can join RM at the exit door and follow him ti his new club. Need a goal keeper anyway.
We needed one 18 months ago so what's new?
Robles has done well, but we need a back up, or if we have funds a top class keeper or maybe a back up for Joel, IMO he has been the only highlight recently in our dismal form as RM has clearly lost the plot!

Why Joey, have they all left?
No but Jags is the wrong side of 30, and we have no one commanding in the air at centre back, compare Leicesters centre backs to ours ? Theres your answer they also have fullbacks who defend great - sadly Baines is also now the wrong side of 30 we concede too many even when the team was buzzing scoring we also to add to that a liability in goal in Timmy, Manager has to carry the can - end of!
We have potential of being a top four team our best squad yet we have 41 points, we have to get a strong spine in the team Robles has been a shining light in the recent doom yes we will need another keeper, it's whether we need to spen many millions or use the money elsewhere?

Concerning your points,re Jags, yep not much left inthe tank there or with Baines. As for CB always thought I would like some one like Shawcross (a hard nut), move Stones up in front and put Mori back there with a new CB or get Galloway going. Not given a chance at CB by Rm. As for LB okay we have Oviedo but I always felt that Garbutt should be the one, youth on his side. Another who fell out with RM.

Add to these Barry on the wrong side. Why oh why playing Osman, Pienaar and Hibbo on the bench This for me was one of the big failures of RM, where was the youth policy. If RM had spent the last two season actually building a younger team may have got away with it.

You've got to be on the wind up. There is no way a rational person could think that Robles isn't an improvement on Howard. Howard was our worst player when he was in the team. Robles has probably been our best player since he's been in the team.
Don't speak for me, lad. Those words never came from me. I gave some statistics and even acknowledged the sampling size was different. I'm not saying Howard is a better keeper. I think Robles has done well, especially considering the circumstances. I just don't think he's good enough to be Everton's #1.

Joel has just re-stated his support for Martinez. He has just got the No. 1 shirt and he is coming out with whoppers like that. How can you expect the new manager to have confidence in your judgement when you make statements like that. Keep your head down son and leave the thinking the others.

Deleufeu came out in support of Martinez the week before the semi final. So thats two of them who are suddenly 'unpopular'

Probably the same reason that Deleufeu did it !!

They're both young, Spanish, Martinez signings... and when they come to their senses, they'll realise that (sadly for him and us), he's failed.

It's not like older, more experienced, English players like Jags, Barry, Osman, Lennon or Baines are queuing up to endorse him is it?

Lad???
LOL

You said you thought our results would be nearly identical had Howard stayed in goal, which implies you don't think Robles is much of an improvement on Howard. Your stats also implied that he isn't an improvement, but they ignore the performances of the rest of the team.

It's fine if you don't think he's good enough to be our no.1 (even if I disagree), but to make out that he isn't a big improvement on Howard makes no sense to me.

on a scale of 1-10, if Howard is a 1, Robles could be a 5. It's an improvement, yes. However it's still crap.
